Cookie Policy

The short version: Repot does not use cookies. This page explains what we use instead and why no cookie consent banner is needed.

Effective: March 23, 2026 Last updated: March 23, 2026 Version 1.0

1. No Cookies

Repot does not set, read, or rely on cookies of any kind.

Because Repot sets no cookies, there is no cookie consent banner. None is required under the ePrivacy Directive, GDPR, or any other applicable regulation when no cookies are used.

2. Local Storage

Instead of cookies, Repot uses your browser's localStorage to store small amounts of data that are strictly necessary for the Service to function. This data never leaves your device and is not used for tracking or advertising.

What we store

Data Purpose Legal Basis
Authentication session Keeps you signed in between visits. Managed by Supabase Auth. Strictly necessary
Onboarding state Remembers whether you have completed the welcome carousel so it is not shown again. Strictly necessary
Setup checklist state Remembers whether you have dismissed the setup checklist. Strictly necessary
Pending invite codes Preserves invite links so they survive browser restarts. Strictly necessary

All localStorage data is classified as strictly necessary under the ePrivacy Directive. Strictly necessary storage does not require user consent.

You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out and reset your onboarding preferences.

3. Third-Party Services

Repot integrates with third-party services to deliver its functionality (for example, Supabase for authentication and data storage, Stripe for payment processing). These services may use their own cookies or local storage within their own domains when you interact with them directly (for example, during a Stripe checkout session).

Repot itself does not load third-party tracking scripts, analytics tools, or advertising networks. For a complete list of third-party services we use and the data they process, see Section 6 of our Privacy Policy.

4. Changes to This Policy

If we ever begin using cookies or change our approach to local storage, we will update this page and notify you via email or through a prominent notice within the Service before the changes take effect.
